We would like to inform you that the gondola at Ravna Planina will not be in operation during the following period:
April 14–15, 2026
The temporary suspension is due to the regular annual maintenance and safety inspection of the GD10 gondola, carried out by the authorized and accredited company WPK Austria GmbH, in accordance with the European standard EN 1709.
During these two days, a detailed inspection of the entire gondola system will be performed, including:
inspection of the drive and return stations
control of mechanical and safety systems
inspection and testing of grips and hangers
testing of braking systems and emergency drive
load testing of the system
inspection of cabins and their functional components
inspection of the line, towers, and related equipment
This type of inspection represents a mandatory and highly important part of regular maintenance, aimed at ensuring full technical reliability and operational safety for the upcoming period. The inspection will be carried out by the expert team of WPK Austria GmbH, led by Senior Ropeway Inspector Dr.-Ing. Mark Löhr.
The gondola will resume operation on April 16, 2026.
