Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska, Denis Šulić, stated that the Government will support the project of constructing the Pale-Jahorina cable car to position the “Ravna planina” Ski Center on the map of Srpska’s tourist offerings.
“The construction of the cable car is something that would complete the entire tourism narrative of this place,” emphasized Šulić, adding that its construction would further position both Jahorina and Ravna Planina on a regional and global level.
The Minister emphasized that the Government, the city of East Sarajevo, and the municipality of Pale are ready to support this project, recalling that the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, initiated many tourism-related projects that are gradually taking shape.
During a visit to the “Ravna planina” Ski Center, Šulić mentioned having information about the preparation for a hotel construction with conference facilities on this mountain, indicating that it would attract visitors throughout the year. He also highlighted the ongoing construction of an apartment complex, praising the preservation of the mountain-style architecture.
The Mayor of Pale, Jugović, emphasized that this local community is becoming a significant tourist center and that the “Ravna planina” Ski Center is gaining increasing importance.
