From August 21 to 23, Pale will become a hub for outdoor sports, adventure and active tourism, with Ravna Planina taking part in this year’s GoOut Festival – an event bringing together cycling, hiking, running, nature and entertainment.

The GoOut Festival offers three days of sports, recreational, educational and entertainment activities across Pale, Ravna Planina, Jahorina and Romanija.
Visitors can look forward to MTB competitions, the Sunset Trail, hiking tours, the “Sokolov put” Via Ferrata, BMX Freestyle Show, children’s activities, an outdoor and expo zone, as well as numerous activities for the whole family.

We are especially pleased that Ravna Planina is part of this year’s festival and one of the destinations included in its cycling activities. Our goal reflects the idea behind GoOut – to jointly present Pale, Ravna Planina, Jahorina and Romanija as one of the most attractive destinations for active and outdoor tourism in this part of Europe.
In recent years, Ravna Planina has significantly expanded its summer tourism offer, with cycling becoming an increasingly important part of the destination. A special highlight is the new cycling route connecting Ravna Planina, Pale and Sarajevo along the route of the former narrow-gauge Ćiro railway, offering visitors a unique way to discover the nature, history and attractions of the region.
Cycling will also be one of the central themes of the GoOut Festival, with the programme culminating in a large recreational ride towards Sarajevo – “Biciklom na ćevape” (“Cycling for Ćevapi”).

The festival begins today, August 21, with the official opening at the Olympic Park in Pale. The evening programme includes the Sunset Trail, a craft beer festival and a concert by the legendary YU Grupa. Saturday and Sunday will feature MTB competitions, family and children’s activities, hiking, via ferrata, BMX events and many other outdoor experiences.
See you at the GoOut Festival – and at Ravna Planina!
Three days of sport, nature, adventure and great company provide the perfect opportunity to showcase everything Pale and its surrounding mountains have to offer throughout the year.
